Monday, October 19, 2026After that, you can still register in person at your city or township clerk's office with proof of residency, up to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1, 2026Every community offers at least these nine days, and some add more. You must use your assigned early voting site, and sites and hours vary by community.
Received by your city or township clerk by 5 p.m. the Friday before Election DayOnline requests have the same deadline. You can also apply in person at your clerk's office until 4 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.Local time. Most of Michigan is on Eastern Time, but Gogebic, Iron, Dickinson, and Menominee counties in the Upper Peninsula are on Central Time.
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, by 8 p.m.Your city or township clerk must receive your ballot by 8 p.m. The state suggests mailing it by Monday, October 19, or returning it to your clerk's drop box or office.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
